What is the setting in the novel, Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen?

"Fairest of All" is set in an unnamed land governed by a King and Queen. The novel does little to create a world outside of the classic Disney film's setting, and it's almost as if Valentino relies on the readers' knowledge of the film to orient themselves within the novel.
