Why did the woman refuse to leave her home? Do you agree with her decision? Why or why not? What might you have done?

The unnamed woman refuses to leave her books because they are vital to her existence and her identity. She would rather die with her books and for what they represent than leave them. I don't think I would be able to burn to death with my books but I do admire her.
