Stacey O'Grady is another student at the same high school Janie and Cabel attend. Janie and Stacey share study hall and Janie is often pulled into Stacey's dreams there. Stacey has the same dream over and over, a dream that implies an attack by an unknown man. Janie begins to realize as she works on the sex abuse case that Stacey's dream must have something to do with the predatory teacher and she uses the dream to discover the identity of the teacher who is sexually abusing students.
