Livvy Fordham is the narrator's older sister. She is the eldest of the Fordham girls. In the narrative present, Livvy is the only other sister who communicates with Dan. Because she is the eldest, she has a controlling and domineering nature. Both the narrator and Delia are afraid that the ways in which she talks to the nurses will in fact endanger their father. Livvy is so desperate to have control over her father's care, that she is often bossy and rude with the hospital attendants.
