What is so special about the lemonade served at Berrywood in the story, Face Time?

Dan tells the narrator that the lemonade from Berrywood reminds him of the war. The narrator wishes that she could convince the nurses to give him the drink in the present. She knows that he is dying and wants him to be able to remember the better parts of his past before his death.
