Who are Gaspard and Mona?

Gaspard and Mona are characters in the story “Dosas.” Gaspard is an old, ailing man, and Elsie has been sent by her home attendant agency to take care of him in his home. Gaspard’s daughter, Mona, sometimes helps to take care of him as well. When Elsie becomes preoccupied with the matter of Olivia’s supposed kidnapping, she becomes distracted form her duties, and Mona eventually asks the home attendant agency to send someone other than Elsie.
