What is Assassination?

In “Seven Stories,” the assassination of Callie’s father symbolizes the often incomprehensible nature of sociopolitics. Callie’s father was a very popular prime minister, but he died by assassination. The motivation for the assassination was never discovered. This sense of mystery parallels Kim’s struggles to gain a clear idea of the sociopolitical phenomena of the country during her visit.
