What are the secrets that Madeline and Olly will not reveal to each other initially in “First Contact, Part Three”?

Madeline will not reveal her illness to Olly, nor will she reveal the reason why she cannot leave the house. Olly on the other hand will not discuss his father's violent abuse or the causes of it.
