What does Electra do when she first sees Orestes?

At first, Electra does not recognize her brother, and she tells the other women to flee. Orestes tells Electra not to fear him, but to listen. Orestes (pretending to be just a messenger) says that her brother is alive and living in exile as a wanderer.
