chapter 3
Foreshadowing is explicitly seen in the form of premonitory dreams. Gilgamesh's dream of the meteor is explainied by his mother, who notes that the meteor represents the appearance of a companion. The falling star foreshadows Enkidu’s death, and the bull Enkidu dreams about possibly foreshadows the Bull of Heaven, rather than Humbaba.
