The Epic of Gilgamesh What do you think the author means on page 51 when she says “Gilgamesh hated them for being so alive” ? Do you think his emotions show traits of a good king? I need help. Asked by Ali45 on 01 Feb 17:21 Last updated by Cat on 01 Feb 21:40
I think this has to do with lions. He resents the lions for being so alive and majestic.Lions represent one of the 7 dedly sins , pride. By killing the lions, gilgamesh takes on the sun of pride as he wears their skins as a sign of sin. He succumbs to it and tragically spirals out of control.
