Franklin is intelligent but school just isn't something he takes to. He dislikes sitting for lectures and finds it hard to organize theoretical information in his head. Franklin shows a much greater aptitude for intellectual skills when presented in the form of farm work. He also dislikes the loud kids. Teachers find him aloof but Franklin is just introverted.
