When Ella arrives home after running away from the ball, what is the commotion that she hears? What does Prince Char ask Ella to do?

When Ella arrives home she hears a commotion and a maid summons tells her that the Prince and his men are at the house and want to see everyone. Char recognizes Ella at once, but Hattie insists that Ella is a scullery maid named Cinders. Char pulls out Ella's glass slipper saying that the shoe will only fit Ella - he then has Ella try the shoe on which proves her identity to him.
