In Eclipse, the Cullens have spread out and gone to visit many of the other groups of vampires living as families around the world. Many of the vampires that they speak to don't want to help because of the werewolves in the vicinity. Others don't live as the Cullens do and don't want to be on an animals only diet when they are there.
