What happens in the first chapter of Eclipse?

The first chapter serves to introduce Morgan, one of the narrators and protagonists. It also explains some vague background information such as the implication that Morgan is a witch, that her ancestor practiced dark magic, and that her boyfriend, Hunter, has just returned from a trip to Canada during which he kissed another woman.
