Who is Dr. Charles Heller in the novel, Easy?

Dr. Charles Heller is Jacqueline's Economics professor who gives her a second chance after she misses two weeks following her break up with Kennedy. He provides her with contact information for Landon, the class tutor, but when Dr. Heller catches Jacqueline and Lucas leaving Lucas' apartment, Lucas ends his relationship with Jacqueline because it is against school policy for a tutor to date a student. Dr. Heller is an old friend of Lucas' parents, and he is the one who pulled strings to get Lucas into college and keep him out of jail. Dr. Heller tells Jacqueline a bit about Lucas' mother's murder, and he informs her that the restriction is ended as far as he is concerned since the semester is over.
