Who is Harah from Dune and what is their importance?

Harah is Jamis's widow. She is taken in by Paul as a servant after he kills her husband. She also has two sons, Kalif and Orlop. Paul becomes responsible for all three of them for a year, and continues to retain a sense of responsibility for the sons. Harah is described as motherly and intelligent.
