What is the author's style in Drop Shot by Harlan Coben?

The language in Drop Shot is fast paced and entertaining, allowing the reader to get a better feel for the characters, as well as to express the characters personality traits more clearly. The characters are all around the same age and education; however, at times some might slip into a street or urban dialect giving the reader a better insight into their background.
