Describe Knapp's relationship with her father.

Knapp's father was an esteemed, famed, and distinguished psychiatrist. He was well admired by his colleagues and students at Boston University Medical School. Because of his intelligence and insight, Knapp grew constantly anxious around him--she was always afraid she was not smart or good enough. Due to some core unknown shared kinship, Knapp always knew she was her father's favorite child.
