Why is the chapter called “Windrider’s Claw"?

The title "Windrider's Claws" relates directly to Windrider's protective instincts in regard to Moon Shadow. Black Dog's attack on Moon Shadow brings out his father's ire..... the claws are out.... he wants to avenge his child's injuries.
