The offer that is made to Laurana is that she and Kitiara will exchange lovers. Kitiara sent her a note that explained that Tanis was wounded, and wasn't expected to live. Kitiara wanted back her lover, Bakaris, and would trade lovers if Laurana told no one, and brought no one but Tas and Flint with her.
