What is wrong with Caramon? What brought him back?

The thing that is wrong with Caramon isn't that of a physical nature, but more of an emotional and mental issue. Caramon didn't want to come back and face being half of himself, although when pushed came back at the request of someone else. Caramon came back because Tika's love brought him back, kept him from death.
