What does Tanis wish for in regards to what the sea elves can do for them?

Tanis wishes that the sea elves could help them go home. He asks them only for a way out of the ruins of Istar and to find a way back to the surface, so he may at least attempt to bring order back and stop the Queen of Darkness from reigning supreme and dominant over every living being on Krynn.
