Who is Honeychile Rider from Doctor No and what is their importance?

Honeychile Rider is a young woman Bond finds on the beach of Crab Key. Honey has come to the island in order to harvest rare sea shells that she intends to sell to a buyer in Miami. However, by arriving on the island after Bond and Quarrel, without using the same precautions they used, Honey has alerted Doctor No to their presence on the island.
