After reading Dogsong what do you realize, feel, wonder, and believe?

In reading Dogsong, we come to see that cultural heritage is an important part of who we are. The disconnect between our lives and heritage is not insurmountable if we take the time to search and separate the past from the present.... and later integrate what we've learned with what we know.
