What is the theme in Dogeaters by Jessica Hagedorn?

The personal and political is another theme in the play. Jessica Hagedorn's play is a panorama. It is filled with lovers, artists, industrialists, militants, and children looking for home. Above and below and outside each scene is the specter of the Marcos regime, a ruling family that arrived through force of personality, a ruling family with no inclination to listen to the popular will.
