How does Gulchin, Leila's mother, feel about how her son Hakan treats his sister Leila?

Gulchin is shown to be complicit in maintaining Leila's subservient role within the household. After Leila delivers the plate of food to Hakan that he had demanded a few minutes before, she takes Yasmeen and Amal to her room. They begin to listen to music, but only a few minutes go by before Gulchin yells up to Leila that she needs to come down and vacuum the floors. When Leila wonders aloud if Hakan could do it just this once while she talks to her friends, Leila's mother Gulchin makes her beliefs plainly known.
