What are the motifs in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick?

There are quite a few motifs in this story. One is materialism.The desire to own animals is a status symbol and an obsession. Rick tends to his electric sheep yet he covets his neighbor’s horse and offers to buy it many times.
