What do grown-ups say about the "good old days," and why does Greg think grow-ups always talk about the "good old days"?

The grown-ups are always talking about the "good old days" and how things were so much better than when they were kids. Greg thinks they talk about the "good old days" because they are jealous that his generation has all this fancy technology and stuff they did not have when they were growing up.
