Who is Little Zhou from Death of a Red Heroine and what is their importance?

Little Zhou is one of Lu's friends. He is a chauffeur for the police bureau—a job that Chen helped to get. As a result, Zhou is very loyal to Chen and becomes a kind of informant for him, passing on tidbits of conversation from within the bureau that relate to the case and to Chen personally.
