Who is Bob Langeveldt from Death in the Long Grass and what is their importance?

Bob Langeveldt was a professional hunter and, later, the full cropping officer in the Luangwa area. Capstick worked as Langeveldt's partner in culling operations for a brief period of time, and together, they culled many hundreds of elephants and Cape Buffalo, as well as a number of antelope. Langeveldt is noted for being particularly fond of elephants.
