How does Jasmin remember Kirsten's recovery after the rape?

Jasmin remembers that after the rape it took Kirsten less than a week to go back and continue working. At first, she would take a taxi home after work. Soon after she started walking home again past the same courtyard. Jasmin was amazed at her determination to carry on.
