Who is Grandfather from Dalva and what is their importance?

Grandfather is Wesley's father and Dalva's grandfather. When Dalva became pregnant, it fell to Grandfather to tell her that she was carrying her own half-brother's child. He then took care to place the infant in an adoptive home. Dalva was the sole beneficiary of Grandfather's estate.
