One major theme in the novel, Daisy Milly, is that of societal rules and conventions. In the novel, Daisy flouts all convention, and thus, earns a less than desirable reputation. The premise of the theme, however, is not Daisy's behavior, but rather, the unfair way in which her behavior is percieved. Note.... Daisy chooses her own action, allwhile being complete aware of the repurcussions.
