Why does the government like Msimangu as a preacher? How is he like John Kumalo in his oratory?

The government likes Msimangu’s preaching style because he tells his followers to accept their suffering on earth and wait for their rewards in heaven. He has a gift at speaking but he does not use it to unite people for the cause of equality or to demand better conditions. This is similar to John Kumalo, who similarly uses his rhetorical gift to keep people under control rather than to unite them to force a change in South Africa.
