Who is Scott from Crank and what is their importance?

Scott is Kristina's stepfather. In Kristina's opinion, he is stern with unachievable expectations. Kristina does not have a close or loving relationship with her stepfather. It is Scott who catches Kristina getting out of Chase's truck when she was supposed to be with Sarah. Despite Scott's firmness, he does appear to care about Kristina. Although he hates confrontation, he tries to talk to Kristina about her changed personality. Kristina doubts, however, that Scott really wants to know the truth, even when he point blank asks her if she is doing drugs. It is Scott who realizes even before Kristina's mother does that Kristina is indeed doing drugs.
