How do Polly and Amari plan to protect Mrs. Derby's baby?

Isabelle asks Polly and Amari to hide the baby and tell Mr. Derby that she died as a result of deformities. The women then decide to take the baby to Sarah Jane, who is nursing her own infant and so can therefore feed this child.
