the people in Jonas society gave up freedom and individuality to live in a safe environment. discuss whether or not the community is a safe environment in which to live in.

Living as part of a community gives some protection against the world. To give up your freedom to be a part of a community seems to be a bit of an extreme. You are only as safe as the others that live around you. Just because people say they are good Christians doesn't mean that they are telling the truth.
