The next day, articles appeared in both the New York Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer about the shark attack, but they nwere hidden on back pages. The headline in the Times read, "Dies After Attack by Fish." Most people did not believe that a shark could have killed a man and could not imagine the damage that was done to Charles.
