What did Scoob want to do? What will he have to settle for? Why?

In Chapter 24, “Clean Getaway” (221), Scoob and his father drive to Guaymas, Mexico and Scoob buries G'ma's treasure box on the beach. He says, “Finally made it, G'ma...You made a clean getaway” (223). I'm not sure if this is what you mean.
