Why did Claudette decide to rebel and why wouldn't the white woman sit down?

Claudette wanted to rebel after studying the Constitution. She decided she would not take it. The white woman would not sit down in the aisle across from her. Blacks had to be behind whites. The driver then yelled again, but Claudette kept quiet.
