What advice does Joshua give Jenkins in "Tale 7"?

Joshua tells Jenkins that the past cannot be revisited. He says that even if there was a past to return to, all the events of the past pile up on top of each other and distort the whole thing. Joshua thinks it is better to not worry about what went wrong in the past.
