Who is Dr. Margaret Mader from Citizen of the Galaxy and what is their importance?

Dr. Mader is an anthropologist. Like Thorby, she is a "Franki", which makes her an outsider on Sisu. Dr. Mader serves as a teacher of sorts for Thorby and educates him on the background and philosophies of the Free Traders.
