In what way does Dahl utilize the second person point of view within his portrayal of Augustus falling prey to his appetite in the Chocolate Room?

There has just been a big melee within the group due to Veruca's tantrum about getting an Oompa-Loompa. Just when the situation is getting truly out of control, though, Augustus's mother yells out to Augustus that he probably should not be doing what he is currently doing. The narrator then states, "Augustus Gloop, as you might have guessed, had quietly sneaked down to the edge of the river, and he was now kneeling on the riverbank, scooping hot melted chocolate into his mouth as fast as he could" (71).
