How did Catherine's parents meet?

Catherine's mother tells Catherine the story of how she met her husband. Catherine's mother was the ward of a baron and one day a young knight (Catherine's father) came and said that the baron had cheated his father out of some woods. He was so persistent that the baron was impressed, as was Catherine's mother.
