Who is Amparo from Caramelo, or, Puro Cuento: A Novel and what is their importance?

Amparo is the washerwoman in Soledad's house. She would have been the next generation of unhappy women married to Reyes men, except when Inocencio impregnated her, he was not forced to marry her. She continues working in the house even after having her daughter Candelaria.
