Who is Brennan Cole from Canyons?

Fifteen-year-old, Brennan Cole, is the main character of the novel, Canyons. Cole is being raised by a single mother, who often brings home her many boyfriends, most of whom break her heart. Canyons is the story of Brennan's young life, as well as his discover of a he finds in a canyon outside of El Paso, while on a camping trip. Feeling a connection to the skull, Brennan does everything he can to find its proper resting place.
