What story does Ira tell the children their first night on the ship?

Ira tells the children the story of the moon and the powder horn. In the story, a hunter becomes tired in the night and hangs his powder horn on a yellow hook he sees nearby. When he wakes, the powder horn is gone, but it returns that night when the moon comes out again.
