What stories does a stranger tell the children when he runs across them on the pasture lands outside Falmouth?

A stranger comes across the Sargent children while they are picking strawberries and allowing the livestock to graze. The man tells them he is there to watch the cattle because Indians have been kidnapping children and causing other chaos in those woods. The man warns that Indian activity only grows more dangerous the further north they travel, including the area where their new farm sits.
