What is foreshadowed regarding Eddie’s relationship with Angel in Chapter 5?

The last scene of this chapter foreshadows the heightened conflict with Angel to which Eddie is coming nearer. Eddie is convinced that Angel will be trying to kill him, and is fearful of when or how Angel will try to get him; however, Angel does not even follow Eddie out of the hospital.
